Free Catalogs
I admit to having little to no business sense and maybe it is just my deficiency of economic intelligence which is to be blamed, but I never understood why I should be made to pay for catalogs. It does not merely mystify me but it quite literally offends me to the core of my being. After all, I have never been asked to pay a fee when walking into a store to stroll up and down its aisles and to look through the merchandise on their shelves. And I have never been asked to produce a credit card before being allowed to browse through the web pages of online stores. Why then should I pay for catalogs? Yes, I do realize that they are expensive to produce but sustaining a physical store or a website comes with a price as well and customers should not be made to suffer for it. Whether they are stores, websites or catalogs, business owners should consider them as essential business expenses which can ultimately lead to sales.
So, my stubbornness and refusal to pay for catalogs which should rightfully be given away for free led me do some research and I discovered a goldmine of free stuff. First of all, I came to realize that most merchants do not charge for their catalogs nor do these free catalogs force you into commitments of any kind. Secondly, I found a whole lot of free giveaways which you may or may not have any use for, but why should you not take a look anyway? After all, they are free.
I found a handful of websites which conveniently categorize their listings of catalogs for you as follows: Art, Hobbies & Crafts; Automotive, Beauty & Cosmetics; Books, Music & Videos; Children & Kids’ Toys, Games, Puzzles; Clothing, Fashion & Accessories; Computers & Electronics; Education & Supplies; Entertainment, Exercise & Sports; Food, Drink & Dining; Family, Fundraising & Finance; Furniture, Gadgets & Guy Stuff; Gifts & Collectibles; Health & Wellness; Home & Garden Catalogs; Jewelry Catalogs; Kitchen & Housewares; Men, Parties & Paper Goods; Pets & Supplies; Religious; Seasonal; Shoe Catalogs; Specialty; Tall & Plus Size Clothing; Vacation & Travel; Weddings & Invitations; Wine & Cigars, Women. Some websites categorize their listings in alphabetical order. But in either case direct links are provide and I cannot imagine it being any easier.
